Our Purpose
Nothing is more important in life than living according to the principles of Scripture. There’s no greater treasure or possession we can have, no house or car or anything else under the sun, that compares to God’s life giving word. Of course, we can’t open the Bible and see something that says, “Jason, drop 15 pounds, move to Chicago, marry such and such, and become a writer.” That’s not how it works. Instead, we read and study the Scriptures to learn the holy principles therein and then we apply those principles to our lives. Knowing how to do this is what the Bible calls wisdom. There’s a dearth of that in today’s hurried and info heavy world and that’s the whole point of this blog…helping you understand and apply the principles that can transform your life and soul. Sweet and precious wisdom, rooted and founded in the Lord, is what all of us desperately need instead of moving from one point to the next in our lives, never anchored to anything but the expedience of the moment.
To that end, you’ll find that the material on this blog speaks to every area of life – family, relationships, politics, law, work…everything. Why? That’s simple…because the Lord is the Lord of all and there’s not a single aspect of life that His word doesn’t speak to, illuminate, and direct. The church in general and our lives in particular are often ineffective, even wimpy, lacking joy and direction, devoid of passion and certainty, because we’ve lost sight of the power of the word of God. It’s my hope and prayer that the work presented here draws you closer to Him through a more robust understanding of Scripture and fills you with a renewed and holy purpose in all that your hand finds to do. After all, as R.C. Sproul was fond of reminding us: right now counts forever.
Jason’s Books:
Christ & Self-Defense
Violence and conflict aren’t normal. At least they weren’t until sin entered in Genesis 3. In “Christ & Self-Defense” Jason takes you on an amazing tour of a subject we don’t talk about very often. We like to think we’re civilized. We like to think we’re “good people” because we dress nice and use our inside voice like good people should. But the reality is that sin, unless defeated, dwells in our deceptive hearts. And that sin, left to roam, will keep us at odds with God and each other. The good news, though is literally the “Good News” of the cross of Jesus Christ and salvation through faith alone. Calvary was the summation of the Great War – that is, God’s war on sin where He defeated sin in the flesh through His Son. Unless and until we surrender there at the cross we carry Cain’s war, Lamech’s war, Satan’s war…our war to each other. Christ & Self-Defense presents this as you haven’t seen it before – as it should be. Sin is war. It’s war on God. Christ is our only hope and in rejecting Him we go forth to an inevitable challenge that’s not really a challenge at all. Judgment.
Christian Extremism – The True Path to Peace:
If we are to live for Christ it’s certainly not according to this world’s principles and values. Too many of us are intimidated into thinking that being an extremist is wrong. The truth is that we’re to be all-in for Christ and His word. In “Christian Extremism” Jason takes you on a tour of how God’s Word isn’t just Lord of our lives on Sunday and in church, but in every area of life. Politics. Economics. Vocation. Van Til once said that everything the Bible speaks on it speaks authoritatively and it speaks on everything – either directly or indirectly. Learn how God’s common-grace protects even sinners in this present age (the Gospel age). Learn how Biblical economics shatters the idolatry of Marxism as well as a life of selfish greed (Luke 12:13). Learn how the civil magistrate isn’t its own god but God’s servant (Romans 13). Learn how, if we truly want peace with both God and man, Christ is the only way.

The Church, Zelensky, & All That
We must remember that everything has theological roots. Since that’s true, it also means there are eternal consequence too to all things. Getting angry at the vacuous nonsense of modern leftism is easy and, unless we stay focused on Christ, who is the answer to it all via faith alone and the repentance of sin, we’ll end up calling each other names across a great chasm of which there’s no bridge. How tragic!
The False Angel of Light (Part 1)
“And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of...
To Destroy the Modern Stronghold of Darwinism
“For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take...
Christ or Tyranny: Trump & the Border
All are under God and accountable to Him. Any challenge to this simple statement of fact is made only by those who wish to be a false and puny fake god.
False Believers & the True Church
False teachers and fake Christians are always contending for their own truth, not God’s; they labor for their own cause and not for the gospel.
Reaping & Sowing: The Law of Biblical Economics
But be warned and instructed: we will reap what we sow. What is the true goal of our working and giving? Is it self? Is it envy? Do we grumble and complain against the sovereignty of the Lord and resent our conditions? Let us all take stock and pray lest we think more highly of ourselves than we ought to think.
